![]() What's new with the Edelman Gardner Cancer Research Foundation? I have to say that I recently got my first look at the behind the scenes at the Wilmot Cancer Center. What an incredible facility. The Board of Directors of the Edelman – Gardner Cancer Research Foundation presented the Cancer Center with their annual check of $50,000. We discussed many topics. They made sure to let us know that the monies we give them is greatly appreciated and incredibly important for them to continue their research. The most incredible part of the meeting was the Edelman/Gardner CRF Summary that Dr. Craig Jordan provided. Below you will see that from 2003- 2007 the Edelman-Gardner Cancer Research Foundation gave the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center $250,000 for research projects. They turned it into $ 7.6 Million in Grant Money. That's a 31 : 1 ratio or for every dollar we gave them, they received $ 31 in Grant Money. That's pretty impressive. For whatever part you played, volunteering, raising money, donations, or memorials. It is because of you that this was possible. For that we are truly grateful. This year our annual $50,000 donation will be to fund a Mathematician. What role does mathematics play in Cancer Research?
